Yep. I'm moving from Northamptonshire to Sheffield on the 17th, as I'm going to the University of Sheffield. I found this site through typing 'tattoo parlour sheffield' into the google search bar, I've read through a few topics but I thought I'd register and post for a bit before I move up there.
Anyway, I'm going to be staying in halls for my first year, Tapton, on Crookes Road. What can you tell me about that area of Sheffield? How close/easy is it to get in to the city centre from there?
Oh, and any info about great tattoo/piercing places would also be appreciated ;)

Very easy to get into town from the Halls - bus stop just across the road and 52 bus is the most frequent in Sheffield - about 10/15 mins to town.

Tapton hall is about 20-30 mins walk from the city centre I think.. its in a nice area of sheffield.. you've got broomhill close by which has a somerfield supermarket and lots of other useful shops, some good pubs... its one of the main student areas of sheffield.
For tattoos etc I'd recommend Feline at Hunters Bar. I had my belly pierced there (when I was at sheff university!) and they were great.
Hope you enjoy Sheffield Uni as much as I did.. (I'm one of those students that never left)

Ive had great tattoos done at Body Runes in Darnall and Van Schaicks in Hillsborough but from what i hear you cant beat Feline
