Please help. I need some big cheap curtains. We will probably have to get them made from scratch because our windows are big and I want them to have a puddle on the floor. I want thick ones and something fancy at the top. Please help. Do you know anyone good but cheap.

How big do you need? Will you definately need some made? I got some 90x90 curtains from TJ Hughes last weekend for £20 - they were seconds, but the only think wrong with them was one snag which I have tidied up so you can hardly see it. They're lined and quite think.

I have just taken some curtains down at my place as I fancied a change.
They are in A1 condition - no fading. They are lined in cream. Each curtain is 63 inches wide (flat expanded) 84 inch drop and are light terracotta and cream - come with tie backs and pelmet. (pelmet - ruffled measurement is 93 inches) Willing to accept £10. PM me if you are interested.
Big
If you're into lurid patterns from the 50s, 60s and 70s Mrs Joyphil has a wonderful selection in her unit at Sheffield Antiques Centre on Broadfield Road. They all seem to be ludicrously long (I hung them for her the other day), and rather thick. Her prices aren't high either.
We just bought loads from Dunelm Mill at fab prices for our new house. £20 for modern and attractive (in our opinion) 90 x 90.
Dunelm rocks! (Time they did a loyalty card, most of my wages and time seems to be spent there at the moment :( )

I am quite happy to make curtains for you, prices would vary according to size etc. The cheapest way might be to buy some cheap ones that are too big and then pay me to take them up for you, which, depending on size would cost probably no more than £50 but more likely less. Message me if interested

Next clearance on Chesterfield Rd is brilliant for cheap curtains, we got a really nice pair for the front room for £8. I know that sounds really tight but they were reduced from about £70.
