when i click on a link to open it in a new window the window opens but the link doesn't?? Even if i right click and select "open in a new window" this still happens?

Any ideas? it says something about debug in a pop up box?

What's the debug message?

Is it from Java??

Not got a pop up blocker running? Try holding left shift or ctrl down and clicking the link.

It could be a virus on the PC. I had something similar awhile back.

Try running a virus scanner.

no- its not from java, and we don't have a pop up blocker running either- will run a virus checker tomorrow and have a look :D :D

Thanks guys, wondered if there was a quick fix but ill do it the right way :D

Sounds like a virus preventing you gettig to the internet, but you are posting?

Sounds like the link you are clicking is a javascript link. When you open the new window, does the address bar contain something like "javascript:"? If so, the only way to get this to open in a new window, is to open the previous page in a new window (from the file -> new -> window menu or by pressing [ctrl]+[n]).

Probably a javascript error causing an option in IE to trigger integrated debugging. There is an option under Tools->Options->Advanced tab->Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer). Make sure this is ticked.

If you encouter a javascript error from then on, you should get a window explaining the error. This can also be stopped by unticking the "Always show this window" option when it appears.
