Its a basic guard, mainly aimed at beginners who have just been installed. I just used Ethernet --> router. Wireless from router, to the other computers. Now, the same again, but bought a ADSL router/modem and sold the old cable router/modem. :) P.S: McAfee is high-tech stuff, IMO. spyro2000 06-09-2005, 12:29 Originally posted by kentboy119 When we had NTL they tried to get us to put their dire protetion system. The only reason they offer this dire guard is to stop people moaning, who dont know anything about computers, that they have got viruses etc. The thing that these people dont understand is that the internet companies offer them a connection to the internet, they are not responsible for what they do on the net or to give them protection. :loopy: Drut 07-09-2005, 15:27 To be honest i found it very lame I went to one of my no go areas on the net where you are garanteed to get a few nastsy's and it did not work it got scared and shutdown:thumbsup: The only reason they offer this dire guard is to stop people moaning, who dont know anything about computers Hit the nail on the head there.. sccsux 07-09-2005, 15:31 Originally posted by ryan123 blueyonder are letting people download a free program called pc guard i think, can any1 recommend it?
