Not with them specifically but I have had a very similar problem with an IT supplier.

In these tough economic times there will be an increase in the number of stories similar to yours and mine. Why?

When companies get into financial difficulties, which translates to 'running out of cash', they start to try and trade themselves out of trouble by using new customer's cash to pay suppliers for old customer orders, hoping that enough new customers keep coming along so they can catch up the cash deficit.

This often leads to delays in delivery (for obvious reasons, they have to find new customers to pay suppliers to deliver your order) and a drop in quality (either by switching to lower priced suppliers or accepting lower quality output by reducing the time taken to make and deliver the products they sell).

As long as they are, technically, solvent this is a legitimate practice (cash with order is a common practice) but be very weary of dealing with suppliers on this basis in the current economic climate.

Hi
I just came accross this thred by accident and couldn't belive it! We are having the exact same problem with simon jersey. We ordered the uniforms they all arrived but the uniforms were all the wrong sizes, we rang them and sent them back. It took maybe 3 more attampts to get it right. When our invoice came we were charged for all of them, and they are now saying that we never sent the other items back? (we have lost proof of postage so don't have a leg to stand on). Nightmare company with no customer service skills. What happened in the end to you?

I can highly recommend the Stitch Factory if you ever need uniforms in the future. We get ours from there, and they have recently supplied all the team shirts for Edale Mountain Rescue. Good quality and good value.

This is their website http://www.stitchfactory.co.uk/index.html (but they've just moved premises to Hillsborough)
