Hi

I'm wanting to paint my tired old front door and finding it hard to decide what colour to paint it.
My house is up for sale so I want a popular colour that will appeal to as many people as possible
Its been red for about 3yrs
What colour do you prefer a front door to be???

what colour are the bricks of your house?
What colour is your car?
Is there anything else in the vacinity it would complement nicely?

I voted green - in fung shui it encourages wealth. Plus its very "autumn" - especially if you choose a nice shade of khaki.

I vote green as you're selling, pretty neutral, boring too, but if it sells!

The council painted my door blue and he was so kind to drip paint all down my path

ORANGE! I'd buy your house if it had an orange door.

I notice there isn't a voting space for 'natural' Which I am definately in favour of. Nice big solid oak with iron bolts. Un-openable apart from with a large key

i think the survey once said yellow was he best welcoming colour for homes up for sale.

Id love natural or even PVC but Im saving that front door for the new house (when I find one).
At the moment Im just just lookuing at a quick , cheap lick of paint to brighten the old front door up.

Depends on the colours of your house (bricks, curtains, window frames etc), but you can never go wrong with blue

Personally, I'd go with a nice stained-wood one with a little pointless window in.
