A good juice extractor is the best investment you can make with your money. I have written fairly extensively on juice extractors and as a long standing user of this excellent kitchen aid am well qualified to speak with some authority. Please see my posts on these threads:

Hope you enjoy the fruits, or more to the point juice of your labours.

Hi,

I have a Kenwood juicer too, and it's a nightmare to clean, it's one of the £20+ ones from Argos.

If your wanting to do root veg and allsorts like that (cabbage too) then you want a masticating juicer (like my mums) which she got on ebay, like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Matstone-6-in-1-Juicer-BURGUNDY-Samson-Masticating_W0QQitemZ4403537954QQcategoryZ20677QQr dZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Personally, I've just bought myself a 'Magic Bullet', they're advertised on the shopping channels on Sky for £59.99, but a shop at the bottom of the Moor is selling them for £20, including all the gadgets n stuff!

I've been making some fab smoothies, using all sorts of fruit, its powerful enough to crush ice cubes into virtually nothing and you don't get loads of air getting into your drink (which makes it go off and taste weird real quick)

I've been throwing in all sorts of fruit, skin and everything, but taking any stones out first. I don't think it's any good for carrots etc tho, apart from chopping them up, altho it does come with a juicer atatchment I think, as well as a pulser for coffee etc.
