Hi all just wondered if anybody had any good advice for me on where to go to get my cam belt changed on my car? I have recently bought an S reg Audi A4 in good condition but i dont know if it has had it changed or not so i thought i would get it done anyway just to be sure. Can anybody recommend any good garages apart from Audi dealers who charge a fortune???
Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers all.

We have always used Thorncliffe Garage on the Thorncliffe Estate at Chapeltown.

Try Limestone Garage - off Claywheels Lane (opposit Hardcore Building Suppliers).
Just had my car done there - wish I had known about them ages ago!

After being ripped-off for the last time by Dore Service Station...I have now found a place that is fast, efficient and professional, and doesn’t charge over-inflated prices! I recommend the Waggon and Horses Garage (http://www.waggonhorsesgaragesheffield.co.uk/carservicingandrepairssheffield.html) at Meadowhead.

Depends where abouts you are but I would recommend Volks-Tek in Dronfield on 01246 292756.

Hi, live in S8, and cant do without a car due to the school run, so would def choose a garage that offered replacement car for a day or so, even if I had to travel further.

i also would recommend thorncliffe if its near to you , a word of caution, i'm sure that to get to the cam belt the front end has to be stripped which would add to the cost ,i had a vw passat of the same year and there basicly the same car i'm sure someone can confirm wether this correct
