Flatliners supported NOFX last time I saw them. OK. I like Prof. Green and Sheffield's own Black Spiders of course!

EXIT CALM
7.10pm - 7.40pm
-
If there’s a Verve-shaped hole in your heart, then guitar-toting Sheffield fourpiece Exit Calm might just be the answer. New single Hearts and Minds has caused a bit of a fuss, and even The Sun made it their Single of the Week, calling it ‘epic cinematic rock music which has the strength to pull off mass appeal’.

And they’re not alone… ‘Ragged vocals and swathes of widescreen guitar effects… a penchant for all things epic’ – Q Magazine; ‘You will witness something that leaves you speechless and transfixed’ – Gigwise; ‘Immensely focused, with ferocious intensity’ – Drowned In Sound.Get the picture?

LITTLE GLITCHES
3.20pm - 3.50pm
-
Mixing hazy electronic burbles with lush, acoustic folk-pop, this Sheffield four-piece have hints of complex pyschedelia as well, and debut EP Sudden Moment Of Clarity swiftly became a firm favourite of Steve Lamacq, who made it his 6 Music Record of the Week.

Comparisons to Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear have come thick and fast, which isn’t surprising for a band whose impeccable four-part harmonies soar out of those dark, twisted backings. But there’s also a hint of Yorkshire steel in this intriguing take on vintage Americana.

freebass were ok, just the usual manchester sound really lol, there was a loud cheer everytime peter hook went to say something :P

i liked detroit social club they were rocking, in a primal scream sort of way, and he slagged everybody that may be downloading their album lol......in a sarcastic way :P

blackmountain poets left the biggest impression on me tbh i think,
it was in the crypt so dark, they were like a mix of joy division and soft cell (although they did have technical probs the first 2 or 3 songs) one song about being a child and capturing a fly and tieing string round it to use as a pet my god, half way through theres some almighty screaming from the singer lol, hes only smallish but the screaming, he nearly reached the floor conjuring up the breath to scream like that
