Just applied for child tax credit and just wondered, is there a set payment date they make the payment, ie same date each month, or does it depend on your child's birth date?

My baby was born on 12 April so wondering when first payment and subsequent payments might be.

I get mine every Tuesday, don't think it depends on your babies date of birth. If in doubt ring them up see if they can help you.

I get mine 4 weekly and it's paid on a Tuesday :)

I get my tax credits on a wednesday and my child benefit on a tuesday. My tax credits are due next wednesday so maybe you might get something then?

Does it actually go on child's birth date then, as some people when it is Bank Holiday the people who get it on a Tuesday sometimes get it paid in early but I don't. :confused:.

Tuesdays for me too. Child benfit howeer is eery 4 weeks, therefore the day varies.

Child benefit for us is every 4 weeks - ours goes in on a Saturday for some reason. I've just checked my bank online now and because it's close to 12, it's showing up as gone in already :)

Child tax, that's every tuesday for us. Although, you'll probably get backdated payments too and that varies on whatever date, or did for us.

Well I used to get child tax credits on a Friday!!

Son was born on a Tuesday so dont think it goes on what date their born.

So sounds like it could be any date then - just wondering if it were say every 4 weeks on the 21st each month or something. Guess thats too logical!!

We got our first payment about 3 weeks after applying for it and then every 4 weeks on a friday .

We get ours every 4 weeks on a tuesday. Our 1st payment was just a random one to make sure our annual one balanced out.
