Now I know there have been several threads about this in the past BUT, it has now been confirmed that there will indeed now be a Great Britain football team in the Olympics. I think they said 2012 or something like that.
What do you think about this?
I was watching BBC1 earlier and they picked the 11 players that they think should make up the 1st 11, and yes they were ALL England players that they decided on in the end.

The team they name would not be valid to play though as 8 of the players have to be under 23 then there are 3 players who are allowed to be"over age". I suspect Wayne Rooney will probably be one of these. It would be a bit hard to pick the as at the moment they will be 16 at the most, maybe younger. I think the team they picked on football focus would be the one select if they were to have the olympics tomorrow.

Yep, agreed, but I dont think any of the other countries apart from England have any good youths coming through anyway.
For as long as I can remember throughout the years, the only player I have ever seen outside of England that i would even consider putting in a GB team wouild be Ryan Giggs, and MAYBE Goram in the squad for the keepers.
