Took the dogs for a walk along the canal towpath out near Shireoaks and came across a male swan who was very determined in defense of his mate who was sitting on the nest on the opposite bank.

I managed to get a couple of shots of him, but every time I stopped, he would surge forward to chase me off. Took these shots while backing away and trying to hold the dogs. Didn't want to disturb him too much.
