A friend of mine who is 70 is having on-going problems with her mobility. she has been ref for a hip and knee replacement however has been told that will take a while..can she apply for a blue badge??? I have told her to do it however she says she has been turned down in the past...does she meet the criteria if she is over 65????

Yes what she needs is letter from GP and probably occupational therapist. Age has nothing to do with it, just mobility problems. My mother in law had one due to her severe angina and she was certainly over 65.
