hi i have been unable to work now for 10 weeks and yesterday failed a medical to go back to work so looks like i wont be working any time soon....i get ssp which is around 79 quid a week and im now startin to really struggle with my finances. does any1 know of any benefits i might be entitled to.. any advice/ links for pages welcome..the reason im off is because i suffer with tourettes but not sure if its classed as a disabilty or if there is any benefit i can claim for that..

DLA? but this would depend on your care needs.

You need to go to CBA they are brilliant at knowing what you can claim for and will help you fill all the forms in good luck

wherabouts do you live? Kiveton Park Independent Advice centre is brilliant for helping people claim benefits they are entitled to, including those they didn't know they were entitled to, and some even getting back payments. They have an advisor experienced in disability benefits too.

.You will have to go to an outside agency for advice, such as the CAB etc. 'cos the DWP are as much use as a chocolate teapot.
