I know you have to put your credit cards details in but can i use a debit card instead?

My Paypal account is backed up by my debit card, and I've paid my seller's bills using it as well.

Cheers joe the reason i ask is cause i did use to sell with my credit card but now i have finally got rid of all my cards and cancelled them and i don't wanna get another one
i only used to accept cheques, postal orders or cash
i was never sure about paypal whether it costs anything or how i set it up

There are some costs with Paypal when you make a transaction, but they're not that big.

You link your paypal account to a bank account in order to make withdrawals, and can add a debit card to 'validate' it and allow you to handle larger amounts of money in a month.

I've found it very convenient; when I receive cheques and postal orders now I end up grumbling... :)

But not for long. :D

I keep getting emails from Paypal telling me to update my debit card details on the site, but I've had fake mails saying they're from Paypal before so up to now I've ignored them.

Think I might have to update soon though, especially as my current switch card runs out end of this month :(

Ye just dont follow the links through the email log in via the paypal website up date em and youll be fine
