View Full Version : Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga..
leviathan13 03-05-2010, 22:40 ...are the top 3 three in my hitlist of people I wish weren't on this planet anymore.
Everytime I see or hear them it makes my blood turn cold!
Yeah, yeah - each to their own... wouldn't do for us all to like the same thing... blah blah blah...
But come on, seriously, surely if they were good enough singers they wouldn't need the stupid, inane visuals to sell their music. I mean, Beyonce tries to hit all of the notes in a scale during every word, which is annoying - Rihanna sings through her nose about objects that stop you getting rained on - and as for Gaga, she sings through a blocked nose, uses so many vocal technology it sounds like the record is stuck at times, and no, she isn't "weird" or "individual", she's just trying too hard to sell records.
Another thing they all have in common is a generic electronic backing track. Basically, get a drum loop, a synth loop and change the key every now and then and hey presto, instant pop song!
When will the population come to their senses?
missflirtuk 03-05-2010, 23:05 What irritates me with Bouncy Knowles is the way she say's Gaga on the telephone video, Lady Gaga don't get me started...what is her purpose again? And Rihanna . Grrrr... can't stand her. This is a great thread..
Alternatively, you could stop watching mainstream music TV and turn the radio off.
I can't remember the last time I heard or saw anything about any of them- Scuzz doesn't have many Beyonce tracks on it ;)

No - just cut and paste pretty boy "punk" bands who have as much attitude as my left testicle.
To me, they're no better than the three stooges above!

True, you do get to choose your shade of manufactured pap though.

I used to agree with the saying "if you don't like it, turn over" but unfortunately there's becoming less and less to turn over to.
I feel the need to vent and, hopefully, make money out of it one day. That's why I've started watching more of this rubbish these days.

But that's just not true, thanks to digital radio, everything available through he internet... there's never been more to "turn over to".
Back when it was a choice between Radio 4 & Radio 1 I was sadly aware of the Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gagas of the day and annoyed by the,. Now however I'm happily almost entirely oblivious to them and they hardly bother me at all.
Have you heard any of Gaga's acoustic songs?
She has talent, and bucketloads of it.
Lady Gaga has the talent to be successful without the technology, or beats, she's just smart enough to know that most of the population are not interested in listening to her acoustics, so she sticks with mainstream.
flamingjimmy 02-08-2010, 15:34 A freind of mine made a good point about Lady Gaga the other day.
He said (of her song 'Alejandro') "wtf is this? a eurovision entry from 10 years ago".
And thinking about it, he's right.
Imagine a Lady Gaga song, now imagine that its Latvias entry to the eurovision song contest in 1999, doesn't seem out of place at all does it?
It's a sad state of affairs, music that we'd be laughing at 5 years ago is suddenly really popular, and what's more? It's being labelled as creative and original.
Seriously world, you suck!
As for Beyonce and Rihanna, total babes they can do whatever they want, I don't really mind. I won't listen to their music though.
It's a good point, but do good points stop people from singing along to it whenever it comes on the radio? No.
Wasting your time mate.
XD
inkheart 04-08-2010, 04:01 I never liked rihanna and lady gaga but please spare Beyonce Foxy Cleopatara :hihi:

Go outside.
Go outside.
It would be great for the environment  if more people did but people these days don't seem happy unless they are harming the environment
It's like some sort of secret crusade to destroy the environment :loopy:

hurstyowl 04-08-2010, 23:59 catch 22, show their real talents, dont sell records, give the majority target audience what they want, sell loads of records. like me being a designer, do something that looks great, client doesnt want it, do something they want, you hate it but its what they want. if you get what im talking about :hihi:

Ousetunes 05-08-2010, 13:18 I would sooner stick a red hot poker in my eye than have to listen to Rihanna (who, were it not for her 'looks' would never have got a look in).
I don't actually mind Lady Gaga (especially her cover of Boney M's Rasputin*) but minus the make-up, she's quite a scary looking girl.
(* Released under the name Poker Face.)
