I'm a (fairly) mature (urm, yeah) fella at 27yrs old, and just getting into skateboarding. Just wondered if there were any similarly 'old' skaters out there?
I'll be going to skateparks in Sheffield and 'Storm' in Derby so if anyonwe wants to hook up, then drop us a PM

bumping up the list. When quiet at The House? Not keen on subjecting myself to laughter as the kids watch me fall on my face/backside.

I don't have a board you can borrow but if you're getting one, I recomend Route One on Chapel Walk. They give good advice and can build a board to suit you and your budget. stick a post up when you've a baord and perhaps we can hook up at a skatepark and be the oldest guys there! Ha ha...
ok g. will maybe buy one this weekend. dont think ill be poping massive ollies or grinding handrails again but who knows

nah, me neither - I'm more up for a spin on the ramps, verts etc. no too fussed about street stuff.

Well, here's an update... decided to take the plunge and brave the laughter if the little tykes and went down to THE HOUSE skatepark in Hillsborough. It was actually alright. Some of the kids there were really good skaters and I was there, 6f3" bloke mixing it 'd' kids'. It came back to me pretty quickly but only after two massive falls in which I thought I'd broken important parts of my body (are there any unimportant parts?)
I had the knee/elbow pads in my bag but non of the chabs were wearing them so I decided not to bother. How regrettable. I'm suffering today, big style! I'll be going down there from now on every monday night 6 - 9pm (with pads!) if anyone wants a good belly-laugh, or wants to join in. I can only make you look better afterall.
