Hi i will be moving to the area very shortly and need to furnish my house on a budget, does anyoonne know if there are any "second catalog shops" in Sheffield, or any second hand funinture shops. Also an cheap places to buy carpet/accessories(i.e lamp shades cusions etc)/a desk and a bed!
I will be living in Nether Edge and don't know the city so some where close or any directions would be great.

There are plenty of shops like that not too far away from where you'll be living actually. Have a walk up Abbeydale Road & London Road. :thumbsup:

Definitely go to Oxfam at Broomhill.

Best time to go in is later on a Wednesday afternoon as they have their guys going round collecting all the furniture being donated on a Wednesday. If you can't get Wed pm, make it Thurs am so you can get first choice. Get in there quick as things do get quickly snapped up. They often have nice 2 seater settees and chairs etc as well.

You do come accross a few tatty items but you can pick up some really decent furniture items and they usually have 2 or 3 desks in stock.
