Would you go into pulse and cocktails on your own? or would you take someone with you?

im wanting to go in at some point today and am a bit nervous - would you do it...........?

Yes definitely. Don't be nervous matey, it's just a shop at the end of the day. Nothing to be scared of. :thumbsup:

Go for it... Its not all that bad once you get in there, I have been in once to buy a gift for someone (honest!) :blush:
The staff are really helpfull and friendly just like your avarage shop, but one half is full of weird and exciting objects :hihi:

don't worry about it ! it is just a shop after all!

i would go in on my own.

plus think about the benefits far outwaying your initial embarrassment !! ;)

I have been and everytime it suprises me how normal it really is .... don't know why though its only a shop after all.

I have found the shop assistants to be really friendly and helpful and would advise you go buy yourself as otherise it would just turn into a giggle and you would come out with nothing

It does seem a little strange to walk into somewhere were couples have strange shaped objects in their hands and talking to the shop assistants as though they are buying a new piece of furniture.... nice though.

The one at the end of the Parkway in Rotherham is quite famous through my friends and friends of theirs etc after a visit!

It seems having the largest wall of 'ladies accessories' in Europe means rather a lot!!

I preferred the ladies in the cage though... ;)

Well im not going in for toys (she says blushing!) more like an outfit to surprise my other half with tonight (she says blushing again!) - iv got the afternoon off work - i would have preferred to go when it was dark but that would be too late!

Im dreading it iv been in before but with friends its just the idea of walking in on my own! OMG!

My mates are same,will not go in without no one.They think im brave to go in my self.But they nothing to it at all goin into this shop alone i been in many a times and the staff are very friendly and helpfull.I love this shop use to use the rotherham one a lot but now hillsbrough open i go into that one.So anyone that is scared or thinks twice about goin into a shop like this just go in you be suprised how relaxing the shop is and not what people sometimes think.

I've been in loads of times by myself. In fact, I have been in and bought videos and other things for male friends as they are too embarrassed to go in by themselves! Pathetic lol!

It's well lit, friendly and the staff aren't all at pushy but will advise if asked.

I don't mind going in on my own or taking someone. If you're worried, the one at the bottom of London Road has a rear entrance as well so people don't watch you going in/out. :D

[edit] I tend to buy online though as it's cheaper.

I think its a bit of a dilema for singular people to go in, its a bit like a pub thing a bloke could laugh it off but a lady looking for something special feels out of place .

try it and stick two sexual fingers up to the world if someone says i saw you down there, ask them were you going in or had you made your purchase,

For women worried about going into Pulse and Cocktails, it may help to know that as a company policy there is at least one female member of staff on duty in each store at all times, and you can request that she serves you if it makes you any less uncomfortable. Never found it necessary myself though!

It's a shop - can't really see why anyone should be ashamed/scared/whatever of going in - it's all good fun :)

We did have a meet a bit back in takapuna (sp) when the gash night was on....i learnt a lot :D mainly just from ruby mind!!

Well i did it - walked in the shop and i was fine but a little embarrased - got my outfit and paid, it was totally fine - like you guys said just like being in any other shop.

I totally wasted my time though, he fell asleep after a few pints and we split up again a couple of days later......so il have to save it for the next lucky feller!
