I repotted all my house plants about a month ago.
All my aloe vera plants are dying - there are about 8 plants and two types of aloe. They are going all mushy at the base of the plant and then the whole plant just drops off.
I used peat free all purpose compost to repot them.
I can't see any sign of insect or parasite but there's obviously something.
Totally lost a plant yesterday that I have had for over ten years :-(
Anyone got any advice?
Thanks loads.

Are you sure you replanted them at the same depth as before. ?
Your not keeping the soil too wet are you.
I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to house plants but sounds like rotting of the stem due to one of the above.
Could be completely wrong though.

Yeh absolutely but I am generally an underwaterer as opposed to an overwaterer as most [house] plants suffer a lot more from too much water.
I will try sinking them a little bit further into the soil and see if it does any good. Thanks.

I was thinking the opposite actually, that you may have planted them too deep.
Try and take a look at a pic of one on the net and compare the depth of yours with it.
