thankyou
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 20:31 does anybody know of anywere (clothes shops) that are doing work experience placements in sheffeld?
generally they dont advertise. best to be confident and walk in with your CV and ask for the manager. Particularly if your wanting paid work. If you have no experience what so ever, ask for 2 weeks unpaid here and there to bump your CV up xx
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 20:39 Is it work experience with school? Ask in Castle Market, they may help you out if you want unpaid work.
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 20:40 thankyouu, i think im going to ring meadowhall, and ask them if they know anywere, they should be able to put me through too.

yeaah it is with school, & do they have fashion shops?
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 20:54 You are not meant to duplicate your ads. Ask around in Meadowhall. Or ask your teachers if they have anywhere where you may be able to go. See if there is any other students who have done work experience or if you have an older sister etc ask her where she did hers.
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 20:55 There is a few of them. There is Fashionwise etc. Not top end fashion but as it's for work experience it all helps in the end doesn't it? Good luck with your search.
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 20:56 thankyouu, ill look in to it, it starts in June sometime, not exactly sure of the dates yet. But times running out, fast! do you know if anywere in meadowhall would be interested?
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 20:58 thankyouu, ive asked around in school they said i need to try asking around meadowhall too. My sister did her's in a primary school "/
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 20:59 Erm......... I don't hun sorry. All you can do is ask. Go down at the weekend, or I posted on your other thread about asking teachers if anyone else has done work experience in fashion? Good luck.
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 21:00 I did mine in the shop local to my house but I am sure some small shops would be more than willing to have a little help. There is a small one across from Greggs in Hillsbrough Precinct.
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 21:02 thankyouu, i might ring them tommorw (:
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 21:04 umm, thats quite far from me though as i live at arbourthorne, but i am willing to travel. one in town or meadowhaal would be ideal, tram or bus streight there. do you know what that shop is called by any chance?
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 21:05 The one in Hillsbrough? It used to be 3 little swines but I can't remember the name now =[
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 21:08 lol okay thankyouu (:
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 21:15 It's ok it's got a few baby clothes and handbags but there is another one up side street near Beres in Hillsbrough. Or try a charity shop.
emilyy (: 28-04-2010, 21:20 Thankyou, im not very familiar with hilsbrough though. ):
missflirtuk 28-04-2010, 21:23 Try Meadowhall if it's easier and you are more familiar with it. Good luck with it all anyway and hope you find something.

Hmmm when I did work experience a decade ago we had to pick one of the placements that the school got. They used to get about 10 new ones per week and the first person to say yes to the placement got it. I asked friends in the year above which ones to go for and which ones to aviod. I ended up at a golf course and a paint factory, enjoyed neither.
emilyy (: 30-04-2010, 22:42 lol thankyouu, think i may have got one now thoo (:
