Personally, i've never had a chip on my shoulder regarding Wednesday, if they're good i'll say so and equally if they're bad i'll say so, but you won't get many Blades actually admitting that United are a bad side, and that's probably because you've become so used to being in the same position year after year that there's no bad and no good to define between the seasons. This isn't a dig Malky, just how i see it Grandad.Malky 27-04-2010, 20:29 but you won't get many Blades actually admitting that United are a bad side, Have you been reading the posts over the last few months. Billy Casper 27-04-2010, 20:31 Have you been reading the posts over the last few months. Yeah but we're better than you at being bad! :hihi: speedy69 27-04-2010, 20:33 No that’s because we remember the even larger chip on your lots shoulder when your were a good team and didn’t we now about it ………….. What goes around comes around and all that. CorkerSWFC 27-04-2010, 21:19 Sean Derry and a few others were laid out on the floor after the game last night, they have took a knock and it will be a task for them to pick themselves up. I feel Wednesday will beat Palace the more i think about it. If I'm wrong I'll stand by my mistake but were more than capable after watching some of there general play last night, if they cant do the business on there own patch they must be feeling the pressure now going 200 and odd miles away from anything remotely southern, Wednesdayites should give those Palace players hell on Sunday. hurstyowl 27-04-2010, 21:21 Sean Derry and a few others were laid out on the floor after the game last night, they have took a knock and it will be a task for them to pick themselves up. No not going to Ipswich. Did you go to Cardiff? no was in Spain, try to get for 1 week or even about 3 nights every month so took this one between derby and cp,back ovr again next week after game. BigTeeOwls 28-04-2010, 08:08 You never know which Wednesday side will turn up on Sunday! but us fans will do our bit, 100% certain on that one. I better the piggies are getting more excited before our game on Sunday, then anyone one of the play off finals they have failed in! Mugs Anyway if it turns out like Sheffailed United did on t.v when up against relegation vs the mighty Wigan remember? Then enjoy it because us Wednesday fans still have fond memories of Unsworth's penalty til this day. A feeling of superiority is something Blades still can't get their head around even though they've had it for the past 10 years but then I suppose you've not exactly made the most of it have you :hihi: A person who has "a chip on his shoulder" is angry because of some thing that happened in the past i.e. Losing important games to your rivals, bottling it on the big occasions, being looked over for important events etc (sound familiar Blades?). So for us to have a chip on our shoulder when we were better doesn't make sense now does it? Anyway no matter what division Wednesday are in I'll always feel superior to the Blades and I think a lot of Wednesdayites are the same which is why your lot hate us more. Didn't someone write a piece in The Star about how Wednesdayites are far more optimistic than Blades. That's because no matter what the result is this Sunday football is cyclical and know we'll be back. If the worst does happen it'll be a case of big brother going to the third world on a gap year and when he gets back he'll kick little brother out of his bedroom (that he thought he could have when he was away) and reclaim his place as top dog in the house. Blades know this is inevitable hence the massive chip on their shoulder :D hurstyowl 28-04-2010, 09:45 blades fans think they are the bigger club, despite not going anywhere, the only reason they are considered bigger at the min is because of wednesdays failings. what makes united a big club? the fact that wednesday are doing crap :hihi: they havent done anything in over a decade apart from be one season wonders in the prem. alex3659 28-04-2010, 09:50 blades fans think they are the bigger club, despite not going anywhere, the only reason they are considered bigger at the min is because of wednesdays failings. what makes united a big club? the fact that wednesday are doing crap :hihi: they havent done anything in over a decade apart from be one season wonders in the prem. The look of dejection on our players' faces after defeat at Cardiff, said it all. They and we were already resigned to being down then, and we have had an eleventh hour reprieve. We have nothing to lose by going for it. Apart from those of our ex-fans who haven't been for a while and don't realise how bad we are, Palace will be more nervous than the rest of us. hurstyowl 28-04-2010, 10:44 im undecided to wether we go for it or not, we only need to win by one goal, im not saying if we score we sit back im just saying at 0-0 we shouldnt leave ourselves open the the definitive blow ukdobby 28-04-2010, 10:54 We have to go for it and score score score,0-0 with 15 mins left and I don't have the confidence to go up and score. geocol 28-04-2010, 10:58 im undecided to wether we go for it or not, we only need to win by one goal, im not saying if we score we sit back im just saying at 0-0 we shouldnt leave ourselves open the the definitive blow No, true that was the way Bristol City beat us. But this really is "last chance saloon"! It is worth the club to offer a win bonus to likely departing players , which would more than be offset by retained (rather than lost) TV revenue, if the club were relegated, as an incentive to produce one last final effort. But, I'm not running the club. hurstyowl 28-04-2010, 11:01 We have to go for it and score score score,0-0 with 15 mins left and I don't have the confidence to go up and score. but if we go go go from the off we will be leaving ourselves more open (sounds impossible i know :hihi: ) and if we concede i think that it will be game over. ahhhh what the hell, if were going to go down then at least we'll go down fighting..........for the last game anyway :hihi: geocol 28-04-2010, 11:01 I think he's done ok up to know, he's just got to finish the job on Sunday.
