I have three carbs that have been stood years, i have tried to clean them with petrol, and carb cleaner, but they are still scaley and dirty, how do you get them spotless, i know you can get them cleaned with ultrasonic, but with three carbs i think it will be expensive, thanks in advance :help:

It did, used to get all the crap out of it - think he used to do it in salt water.....
If you have one (and don't have a mrs) then dishwasher's the way to go - give them a good rinse afterwards with water and carb cleaner/petrol and make sure the jets are clear.
(I'd remove the jets before putting in the washer)
