Hi

We're househunting and have been interested in some of the ex-council houses in Stannington around Deer Park and Wood Farm areas. However, they appear to be, maybe, concrete built. Wondering if I should be concerned about this. I know very little about building/construction etc. Just wondering if anyone here knows any more about these particular houses, or if anyone has had any problems with these properties. Anybody know if this has impacted buying or selling them?

Thanks

these pop up on the market fairly regularly and sell quite fast so this suggests they are still viable properties, else no mortages would be available for them. Actually I believe these are constructed mainly of breeze block units which give relatively long term prospects. Although not the same as 'traditional' build materials these properties will still be around in 75 years +...
