After having quite a few photos "stolen" online I wanted to add a copyright watermark on them in future. I've been trying to do this using GIMP but have failed miserably. Even using a step by step guide that I found online I can't do it - I don't even understand what most of it means. Is there an easier way? :help:

I would have thought with gimp the easiest way was to put the watermark on a new layer then adjust the layer transparency to suit, then just save as jpg
