View Full Version : TV games next Sunday?
To most people (particularly in Sheffield!) the Owls - Palace game next Sunday is the obvious big event game for live Sky coverage... but, with the final playoff place coming down to a two way fight with Blackpool v Bristol C and Swansea v Donny, will Sky go for the two playoff contender games instead (as I believe they only usually have two live games on the last day - like the games at Brum and Palace last season?)
Have Sky shown more than two live before, or are the BBC showing a game (which would get round this)?
It'd be amazing if they didn't cover the owls game live, given that one will be relegated - I guess Sky are waiting on tomorrow's outcome before deciding - though it's pretty unlikely Palace will beat WBA.
Just goes to show how far off pre-season predicitions can be though - before a ball was kicked, the Ipswich-Blades game looked like it could've been between two teams likely to figure in or around the playoffs, whereas they've both finished comfortably but miles off the playoff pace...

CorkerSWFC 25-04-2010, 21:48 ESPN, BBC (one game left) and SKY all have rights to show Championship football on the last day, be assured Wednesday will be on live on one of them, if it goes to the last game that is.:(

If the beeb have first choice, you'd assume they'd pick the palace game, assuming it goes to the last day. Although given their history of live games this season, there's always the chance they'll pick the Newcastle game regardless!
I hope it's not on ESPN, haven't got that and not wasting money even in a good cause!

Maybe the media are awaiting the Palace win/result on Monday before commiting to the choice.
