View Full Version : Can I replace the LCD Screen on my camera?

I have just dropped my Fuji Finepix A310 digital camera.

The LCD Screen is now damaged and I can only see about a quarter of the picture in the screen. The rest is jagged 'triangles' overlapping.

The camera only cost around £200 and first inquiries suggest that repair using Jessops or Jacobs (who would send it to Fuji) etc. will probably cost in excess of £100 or £150, and so would not be an option.

Does anyone have experience to suggest whether it is possible for me to get a replacement LCD Screen and fit it myself?

You'll probably found that it's as expensive as buying the camera again.

Try contacting Fuji directly. We did this a few years ago, and it cost us just over £50 to have the screen replaced.

I have a similar problem with a panasonic, the screens are easy to fit if you can get them, Panasonic say they cannot supply me one though so the carmera is useless. Find out who is the Fuji repair contractors and see if they will sell you a screen.
