The next Sheffield farmers market is on Thursday, 22nd April from 8.30am to 4.30pm, in Barker's Pool (opposite John Lewis).
Remember to take a cool box to work with you, or plan your shopping to coincide.
I'm told there are about 20 odd stalls, so should be a good one. I will be there as well, so check us out for heavenly cheesecakes

Probably better to wait a week until 29th. First Continental Market (http://sheffield-central.com/farmersmarket.htm) of the year!

Or even better why not go to both?

Best one is at the garden centre at Wentworth, they have to have car parking attendants and it's packed at 10am!

Just been and it was all good stuff.

Kostas' olive stall is there selling olives, oil, stuffed vine leaves etc, there is a nice bread stall, the Lincolnshire poacher cheese stall, a couple of chutney/jam/pickle stalls, a stall selling homemade fishcakes, a butchers, a buffalo meat stall, a potted meat stall, two cake stalls, a bun stall, a plant stall and an ice cream seller. Oh, and a really unusual mushroom stall.

Wish I could have stayed longer and bought more.

Why did they change it from a weekend to a Thursday? Now I can't go at all!

Sharrow Vale Market was good last Sunday where they also had the the Lincolnshire poacher cheese stall. They sold unpasteurised milk there which I hadn't seen for years and tastes so much better than the pasteirised and homogenised muck sold in shops.

There's a small health hazard involved in drinking unpasteurised milk, but worth the risk I think. Get it while you can, I'm surprised it hasn't been banned by this government like everything else.
