My cat, Sam, has been missing since Friday night (Aug. 26th). He's black with a blue collar, and has a silver name tag and jingly bell.
He's particularly mardy and is probably hidden under a bush or in an outhouse - we think he knows his name but he won't come when he's called (he's a rescue cat and he's very nervous, and he's not that used to going outside yet because we've only had him a few months).
He's also microchipped and the chip people have been notified; I've also been on to the local vet's in Firth Park.
Any information or positive sightings would be so gratefully received as we're really worried now. Our number is (removed), and we're up Hamilton Road way.
Thanks a lot for listening.

As you may have read my post last night, I went through a similar ordeal with Missy
She turned up safe and well in the early hours. I spent hours driving around firthpark looking for her (people might have thought i was upto know good driving around at slow speeds looking in gardens)
I saw a few cats but not one that matches yours I will however keep my eyes open for you.
If you have not alreay read the thred from last night please do as it contains so great advise from other sheffielders

i wouldnt worry too much yet, my cat has been gone for about 8 weeks now which is the longest he has been away but they do tend to wander in warmer weather..
ask your neighbours to check in any sheds or garages they have..
good luck
Just a little bump up for the evening SFers
Thanks for all of that! I'm over the moon to report that he wandered in as if nothing had happened about 11.30pm last night. (bearing in mind he'd been out since last Wednesday, and last sighted on Friday) - he must have seen the posters I'd put up!
Thanks again for your kind thoughts and advice.
I was starting to yhink that someone may have started pinching cats in Firth Park, I am sure I saw a thread about a missing white cat yesterday in the same area.
Glad to hear he's home safe and well. Give him a cuddle off me.
If I could get within more than 3 feet of him, I would! (rescue cats. beh!)
Well then, blink gently at him off me! ( I have 3 cuddlies and a hand reared feral kitten, so I know what you mean)
We have 2 rescue cats, both just about 16 months old now.
Love them to bits, lap cats one day perhaps?
(heres hoping)
