What brand do you prefer and WHY? exactly?

I has crafty cig at the weekend, in my defence I was very drunk, a full fat Marlboro, and it was loverly.

I feel realy guilty about it now though.

Hmmm rollups every time , currently golden v but usually amber leaf or drum . If im smoking 'real' cigs its usually richmond just because im used to buying them because theyre cheap but not really fussed , won't smoke dorchesters , mayfairs , royals or silk cut :gag:

To a non smoker, all of them smell horrid. But why are silk cut (for example) so :gag: to you?

I am truly fascinated by this 'taste test' type of prefence, as I don't understand it :confused: hence the poll.

I smoke marlboro most of the time but when i'm feeling a bit special i'm know to nip down to King Size and pick up a packet of Sobranie Black Russians

They're my favourite smoke but I don't smoke them too often,

silk cut are horrid . the filter is perforated so you don't get as much smoke or something but i could puff away on one for hours and still not feel anything off it.

as for other brands , i guess its just personal taste , but a lot of cheaper fags taste like floor sweepings.

Marlborough lights -there not too light- like silk cut- or not too harsh- like red marlboro's or regal- plus they just taste better in my opinion!!

The trick with silk cut's is to put your lips quite far down the filter- therefore covering the holes and you get quite a decent drag!!!

But never, ever straights - If I am going to kill myself by inhaling noxious fumes, I want it to be from tobacco, not the additives.

when I smoked I prefered Camel Lights.......

at uni it was Marlborough Lights when flush and Mayfair when not.

I was the silk cut smoker.

But to their credit they made giving up very easy and I had none of that hacking nasty coloured stuff up either when I did stop. Unlike my Regal colleague ( well rough)

Marlboro Reds, Lights relunctantly when the machine only has them.

I gave up over a year ago but I still miss my full strength Marlboro, none of your "Light" nonsense thanks :)

I gave up today! :clap: I could kill for a Marlboro Light though.... :( They have a very different taste to other cigarettes. I reckon they are the Marmite of fags; if you smoke you either love them or hate them!

My Mum would smoke anything - elderberry leaves if she could have rolled them! :gag:

Her addiction was Park Drives & she smoked from the age 11 which is shocking even these days (to me anyhoo).

Sadly she died of throat cancer in 1993 (a month before my only nipper was born).

This is kind of why I'm so anti-fags :) And why I nag people about it.

I will smoke owt really but 95% of the time I smoke roll ups cos I can get 50 grams for £4 odd and it lasts me about two weeks, which is £2 a week and approximatly 30p per day (Golden Virginia). Who says it costs a fortune to poison yourself :hihi:

Way long ago back in my smoking days, and my occasional forays into the silk cut perforated filter, I was known to.....

A: squeeze thumb and forefinger around the perf to get more 'hit' :(

B: blag a rizla and paste it around the perf. = better :)

C: tear off the filter in an irritable paddy due to perceived lack of nicotine and light up = :headbang:

followed by.......

Oh - maybe I shouldn't be here... this a smokers thread and I aint one anymore :suspect: ;)

Stick with it, after about 2 weeks it becomes less of a nightmare from hell, and becomes just unbearable instead :)

You will feel much better though after a month.

And not smoking is so good for your skin and makes your eyes more twinkly (or so I'm told).

Condor Long Cut, as pipe smoking is both awesome and cheap - and that stuff tastes of Parma Violets which I can't find anywhere these days!

They don't sell my favourite brand in shops, for that matter I don't think they ever will. Actually there is a couple of places abroad....

I buy myself one of the small 12g packs of amber leaf.. and it lasts me about three days.. dont smoke any other brand. I keep trying to cut down but I havent managed to fully stop as yet..

I like Julian Clary .... Sorry - wrong kind. Am I allowed to say that anyhow? I never know in this pc world whether I am breaking the rules or not?

But Julian did state during an interview that he was a big puff so I am only repeating him.

Used to roll me own, always Drum. Marlboro Reds if I've managed to get hold of duty free. Much prefer a rougher cigarette- lights don't do it for me.

Pah, I quit on Wednesday evening and am feeling somewhat better for it. I smoked roll-ups (Golden Virginia, no filter or roach cos I'm a mucky devil!).

I now have a dose of the infamous 'Freshers' Flu' to distract me from any cravings. I'm hoping that by the time I can breathe again I'll have forgotten all about the dreaded weed...

I know that they are cheap but they make you smell of wee. I'm sorry but that's the truth.

i smoke embassy #1, they are the only cig i smoke with the occasional brown paper rollup that my bf's grandad rolls me.

i dont really like anyother cig, the rest taste harsh to me & give me a sore throat.
