Hi, i've picked this pattern out of a magazine today to knit a bag. It says that it needs 6 x 50g spools of Texere Bizarre. It says you can only get it by mail order. Has anyone any idea what sort of wool it is i.e dk, cotton etc. I don't really fancy paying £9 just to knit a bag. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

According to this (http://www.texere-yarns.co.uk/texereshop/Viscose_Knitting_Yarns.html) its a wool viscose mix that is space dyed to make it stripy and knits to a DK/ aran. Also it looks like its on offer at the moment of 5 for £5 - dont think you will get anything similar any cheaper.
