Disguting result when Wednesday can only draw against that pile of bobbar from S2 at home.
If you can't beat that crap Wednesday, you deserve to go down.
Thanks Tudgay, for another world beating display.
Now F.O. to Burnley.

Thinking about it, it wasn't that bad a display from Wednesday, considering they played with 9 men.
Tudgay and Clarke may as well have been sat in Crookes with me.

Went today as a neutral supporter sat in the gods in the old man stand, and had to ask the bloke next to me who he was. Also i can understand now why the crowds are so poor down S6 Its that bloody annoying band, Having to listen to them week in week out is enough to keep drive many fans away.

Yeah you expect to see a game of 11 men against 11, but when you regularly see 11 men line up for the opposition and only 9 for Wednesday, you soon realise why Wednesday are in the position they find themselves in.

Goes to show how far both Sheffield teams have fallen this year.

Wednesday's midtable side from last season are going down, and even with those extra 4 points United have fallen from being able to go up automatically on the final day last year to being mathematically unable to even make the play-offs with 3 games to go, and celebrating a point against League One bound Wednesday as if they'd won the FA Cup.

Let's just hope our midtable team of this season doesn't try and emulate yours and go for relegation next year... :)

It does make those Premier League Sheffield derbies look as far away from ever happening again as FA Cup final wins though! Probably more chance of a Sheffiield merger than either of those things happening again... :(

CB buddy you cannot have your jelly & ice cream because you said jelly & ice cream if United win. (i think)

Just like i cannot have an Ecclescake.

Enjoyed the first half and the flourish towards the end. Tough to tell just how well United played since the Wednesday Player commentators don't fully describe the action when the opposition has the ball.

yes and what was the united fans response? wasn't it along the lines of it wasn't about those to games it was the season as a whole. yes the 4 points would of come in handy but so would the other 2 we lost against barnsley or the 3 we lost against preston after playing them off the park. it's still in our own hands, if we go down it's because we weren't good enough over the season not just you lot;)

Watford are still catchable for Wednesday as well, and they play QPR away on Tuesday after taking a shoeing from Leicester yesterday. Scunny will be completely safe if they beat Reading the same night.

If Watford get a similar shafting by QPR, they could be right in the mire if Palace can get anything from West Brom.

It's not quite a two-horse race (yet :D).

I think Scunny are safe now as both Palace and ourselves can't overtake them due to us playing each other.

Strangely bookmakers are still quoting a price for them to go down, other prices are:

4/6 Wednesday
15/8 Palace
7 Watford

I was trying to sort this out in my mind earlier, actually. I think there is a really convaluted way that they could be relegated, but it would be something spectacular.

Got it. If Watford win their game in hand and Scunny lose theirs, they go above Scunny. Next weekend/Monday night, if Scunny lose, Watford, and you don't lose, AND Palace win, then you would be at most three points behind Scunthorpe with a better GD.

That would make both Palace and Watford safe (I think), and it would be between you and Scunny. Of course you could be just a point behind, as you may of course win!

Good point, but if we win then a win against Palace is enough and if we draw and beat Palace then Watford need 1 win or 2 draws.

Yes, that's right. If Watford DO beat QPR, and Scunny DO win, then it becomes a head to head. As it stands, there are still six in the mix though ... that said, I wouldn't be backing Plymouth to stay up exactly ...
