After conversations with Belle on Sunday, we wondered what would be everyones fave pudding? And do you do custard?

I love bread and butter pudding, it's my favourite pudding.

I don't eat it nearly enough.

I don't have it with custard but i like custard on it's own.

Puddings. Love 'em but generally I'm too full from a main course to eat one!

Bread and butter pudding with ice cream. Yum.
Egg custards.
Milk puddings - Semolina, rice pudding etc. Not too keen on tapiocca.
Cremola.
Crumble - any sort of fruit crumble is great. With custard natch.
Apple Snow.
Trifle.
Steamed puddings (treacle sponges and the like) with loads of custard.
Cheesecake.
Gateaux.
Ice cream Sundaes.

Oh - I'm really hungry now.

mm puddings

well i like tiramisu (especially from trattoria sorrento) but that's a dessert really

so it would have to be crumble - especially apple or rhubarb, with custard or natural yoghurt (left over in the morning with yoghurt is best though)

I love sweet food. I couldn't possibly narrow it down to one pudding. So:

Lemon Meringue
Fruit crumble (most varieties)
Chocolate cake (most varieties eg. Chocolate fudge cake, sponge, tart etc)
Cheesecake (most varieties)
Profiteroles
Gateaux
Ice cream
Brownies
Treacle sponge

And I do have custard where appropriate eg. with fruit crumbles and sponges. Otherwise cream, like with cheesecakes.
Hmmm, puddings... Yum yum.

My fave has got to be cheesecake (any kind really!).

Also quite like bread and butter pudding (but only my Mums).

I don't really do the custard thing very often as I much prefer cream!

Feel hungry now.............

I don't do puddings very often only ususally when out.
Faves
Lemon meringue pie
Chocolate fudge cake/death by chocolate
Apple/rhubarb crumble
Apple pie
Ice Cream/Viennetta

I don't do cream or custard, but do like ice cream with them sometimes.

Francos on Crookes does amazing puddings, some people just go in for them. They are ice cream sundae things with what ever type of chocolate you want in them my fave ones are the chocolate ones with maltesers, buttons, caramel and crunchie in them.

By the way, prefer glass of whine to dessert.

it's a shame you cant have a healthy balanced diet on puddings alone seeing as there is such a huge variety and choice

Without doubt my most favourite dessert is apple crumble - followed closely by rhubarb crumble.

Concerning crumbles:

How much crumble to fuit should the percentage ratio be? I love the crumble part of the pudding btu find too uch fruit and it's very soggy.

I find that 70%crumble to 30% fruit makes the best type of crumble, with plenty of custard!

Your opinions?

I prefer more fruit, and i make the crumble bit with less fat than recipe and put in some oats to make healthier. Very nice occasionally.

Rice pudding with a great big dollop of strawberry jam in the middle. Then swirl the said jam around until the pudding has gone a lovely shade of pink.
