I saw this on the front of The Star this morning.

Combining this with the shooting of a woman at a Christening party over the weekend in London, there are some seriously sick puppies out there.

I think we're experiencing a total collapse in respect for basic civilised values, let alone respect for law and order.

Time for some Zero Tolerance policing, I think. If it worked for NY, it should work for us.

I'm not entirely sure what President Bush has to do with this.

However, the policies of policing. licensing and the general (and I HATE to use this phrase) decline in moral standards over the last decade HAVE led to this sort of bahaviour being more common.

I believe that to many people this sort of thing - a kind of animal greed and cunning - is becoming acceptable.

And that's where Zero Tolerance comes in. We start by making the so called 'small stuff' of crime unacceptable - graffiti, littering, petty vandalism, dealing drugs 'to friends'. And we work our way up.
