thinking of getting one of these beauties, anyone someone could recommend to check one out for me.
it is in Suffolk like but just wondered would AA be upto the job or should I look for a Vdub specialist near it to check it out
or any VW mechanoc fancy a little jaunt down there ( if it's still for sale )

To be honest I'd get an enthusiast to check it out, You might find that a AA man might me a little too picky because they do not know what they are looking for..

they are great, ive had several aircooled vws (7 i think) and my fasty was the best ive had, used daily in all weathers

Thanks for that, I never thought of them.
Got to say my best aircooled was a variant, god do I miss that car. had a couple of beetles but it aint the same.
Will look at the links and hopefully persuade hubby to let me get a fastback.
