okay being a nintendo fanboy and since selling my ps3.. ive had very little need to use a console controller other than the odd mario game with mates (mario wii is awesome :P). But seeing as red dead is about to be released and more of my friends starting to play online. Ive decided to give the xbox another go.. so being a hardcore pc gamer i find playing especially fps type games a little hard getting even close to my pc playing standards (can honestly say im well above average on most games i play). So im wondering if there are now some quality keyboard and mouse adapters / mods etc.. which will let me be able to use them instead of the chunky ass controller im currently trying to get used to.

think any usb keyboard may work with the 360 not sure about a mouse though...

There's this (http://www.maxconsole.net/content.php?13000). If you can get hold of one.

From what I hear it's not perfect, and you need to plug a 360 wired controller into it for authentication - but it'll do what you're after.

You can't. All the games are set out with only the Xbox 360 controller in mind. That adaptor thing that Segasonic posted a link to looks interesting, but I'm sure it won't be a good permanent solution. That article is over 3 years old and Microsoft have just done a system update that alters they way the 360 uses its USB ports. They have also blocked some unauthorised accessories from working with it.

Basically, if you want to play 360 games then it really is best to just get used to the controller. If it can only be WASD for you then I'd say stick to PC gaming.
Personally, I think keyboards were made for typing not gaming, and thats how it should stay!!

think i found a better add on.. called smart joy frag adapter. But based on alot of reviews its better for aiming but still sluggish. So i guess ill stick with a controller for now.. plus most games do infact play better on controllers but im sorry FPS, RTS and alot of RPG's are miles better with a keyboard and mouse.

If ever CS console players (or pretty anything else which is also on the pc) played against the pc gamers.. they would just get destroyed.

Team Xecuter are working on a new one called the XFRAG (http://www.team-xecuter.com/xfrag_pics/xfrag_final.jpg), so it might be worth holding on a bit for that one. :)
