A SWFC win and a Scunthorpe defeat would make a hell of a difference. This could go down to goal difference, so I would prefer Scunthorpe in the mix rather than Watford and Palace.
SpeedwayDan 11-04-2010, 14:22 If Watford win their game in hand then I think they're safe.
I'm hoping Bristol and Reading both beat Scunny, like Crookesey says their goal difference is worse than ours, so would be good to keep them down here with us.

I still think that Watford beating Plymouth went in our favour, we could beat Palace and the pair of us could stay up.

you might be right.
Watford have a tough run in Liecester, QPR away followed by Reading at Home then Coventry away.
Plymouth have Newcastle at Home and Forest away with peterborough at home so think they are doomed.
Palace have derby away WBA home and then you lot.
You have a tough run in Blades Home Cardiff away then Palace home.
Scunny I really think are in the drivers seat but, if they get nothing from their next 2 matches which are Bristol City and Reading at home then they might go down because Donny away and Forest at home I cant see them getting owt from.
Its deffo coming down to the last matches of the season for who goes down with Peterborough and Plymouth

Oh i'm sure we'll manage to ****** it up somehow! :hihi:

Scunny will fancy their chances on the last day at home to Forest, who are poor away like the blades, and will also be resting players for their playoff semi. With this division though, you do get some odd results...
Earwiggo 13-04-2010, 17:21 I still think that Watford beating Plymouth went in our favour, we could beat Palace and the pair of us could stay up.
Nathen Crookesey!
I've aways fancied Watford to be the team to drop below us (bad as we are) and looking at their remaiming games, without this win over Plymouth, they blinkin well would have done!!
How the heck did Plymouth have a chance at Bramall Lane, and pick up some really good results recently, to then go to the ONE ground when they could have done us a reight favour, and lose to Watford.
It's not our year boss (again) and unless we produce a couple of 'reight' results, win at Cardiff and beat United, I think in the words of 'The Doors', This is the end..................
eastbank 13-04-2010, 17:28 i said all along its us or scunny...and i still think that
crookesey 13-04-2010, 17:32 i said all along its us or scunny...and i still think that
Yes I agree, if it comes down to goal difference let's have two clubs with worse ones than us in the final mix.
Earwiggo 13-04-2010, 17:38 Mien Gott, Scunny must be bad!
crookesey 13-04-2010, 17:55 Mien Gott, Scunny must be bad!
True, but they have a nasty habit of beating top clubs. :hihi:
Earwiggo 13-04-2010, 18:02 Looking at CB's OP, surely Scunny have an easier run in than Watford?
Watford have Leicester and QPR away.
Scunny are not too shabby at home.
Looking at CB's prediction, and Watford's remaining games, Watford drawing with, or losing to Plymouth at home would have been a great result for Wednesday?
Assuming Plymouth can't climb above us?

Will the players actually turn up to play a derby, or just another match? I look at most of that shower that will turn out for us and start to worry. I don't know about the blades players, but on their day they are better than ours, lets just hope that it's not their day.

I doubt it. :(
They sometimes try against the bigger and better teams, but as it's only United, I don't think they can be r'sd.
........ we could beat Palace and the pair of us could stay up.
.. .... Could ........ but that would mean us scoring.
Titanic99 17-04-2010, 14:16 Palace are losing, come on Derby!

Sad innit when you need other teams to lose but I guess when you are in the bottom 3 and pants you need all the help you can get.
Watford getting battered but you can take Scunny out of the relegation battle now if they stay 1-0 against Bristol City.

not really, our survival is in our own hands
Panthera 17-04-2010, 16:17 the united fans on here seem to think wednesday are needing results from other games to go thier way to avoid relegation, where as,yes the results going for us would be nice but not essential, I look forward to watford losing 9 -1 in thier next game, sorry i mean 6 - 0
