What's the best current Video games system?

Got to be the Xbox IMO, they are far more technically advanced than the PS2, Ive got a modified one and I have allsorts on my 120gb hard disk. Great machine, cant wait for the Xbox 360. Ive downloaded a demo of PGR3 and it looks absolutly amazing!! :thumbsup:

x box for me but i do also own a gamecube as well , but im getting the new x box box 360 when the price drops

Well, certainly not the X-Box... Not with the default controls and that pad it has !

but my vote simply goes to Personal Computers.

Ive got a Gamecube too, you cant beat the Metriod games or Mario. :)

best game i got on the gamecube is mario cart i can spend hours playing that one:)

Girlfriend stole my gamecube :mad: i have to use my sisters resident evil cube now.
all the cubes resi games. metroid, mario, zelda and the strange lil japanise games makes gamecube my fav :D

PS2 by a long shot. As someone who owns both a PS2 and an X-Box, the current state of affairs is that the PS2 gets used at least once a week (when I can drag myself of the PC), and the X-Box has 6 months of dust built up on top of it.

Yes, the X-Box is technically better than the PS2, but the games aren't really all that!

As for next machine to buy...PS3 all the way (after I get my PSP in a few days that is).

As with the MAJORITY of people in this poll, I also think that the X Box beats the PS2 hands down. Im not a big fan of the PS2, it just dont seem to me to be up to the standard of the X Box and I even prefer the Gamecube over the PS2

Xbox > PS2.

I may not be a big fan of games like Halo but at least Xbox can DO Halo, PS2 isn't powerful enough for it... And as for the Sony zealots' claims that Killzone is a Halo beater, STFU it isn't... It's just a crap Halo rip off.. :lol:

xbox rules - easily the best. Best graphics, most power, better games.

However, when PS3 comes out i think that will be the new top dog.

pfft... my SNES and mega drive own all your consoles!

Personally I think Sony have the best idea... backwards compatability... its a great thing, playstation has a huge collection of games and theres tons of them that are amazing... most of the best nintendo games are just crap rip offs of original SNES games... mario kart anyone? still never beaten the SNES version for pure amazingness!

Think I'll be sticking with Sony next system too, the PS3 looks very interesting, if they manage to get some powerful engines done for the multi-cell processing system it will use... should be interesting... but I still love my retro gaming!

Sony PS2 for me - and no Wintel tax to pay!

Ive got Megadrive and Snes Emulators on my xbox with every single rom, so i can play every single snes or megadrive game to my hearts content :)

PS2 for me as well- just bung a hard drive into it.. and its even better!

And I cant wait till PS3 hits the shops... Xbox killer easily.
