The winner of this years Grand National will be Tricky Trickster. His odds are 20/1

16/1 Tricky Trickster now .. but almost every horse in the field has shortened, so I wouldn't read too much into that.

Big Fella Thanks is slightly less hot a favourite now that Ruby Walsh won't be on it.

As for me, I backed Don't Push it at 16s this morning.

I was also on King Johns Castle, and didn't get much of a run out of that. I've lowered my previous record of having a horse fall at the first!

Why does this thread stink of "Hedge Managers ?" It's cruel on the horses and should be banned but money talks once again... chhhhhhhhhhhh... :loopy:

Just said on the tv that all horses and riders are ok that fell.I do think the jumps are way too big though.I hate watching the race

All the horses may be ok ?? how would you feel crashing through so many fir fences ?? It's a total no brainer and the bookies getting spanked so much is only going to make the point clearer that this should stop such barbaric use of horses for personal gain.... Shame ..... Donate your winnings to the maimed... philistines.... :loopy:

If I were a horse, I'd thoroughly enjoy it - as did all those horses that fell, unseated, or otherwise lost their jockeys and chose to get up and carry on.

Bless 'em.

Congratulations to Don't Push It, had a very good race. Fabulous looking horse, and the jockey isn't bad either ;)

Once again I predicted the result.

How much would the winning jockey pocket for romping home? Great race.

Jockeys receive about 10% of the win fund, which is £521,000 for the National; so, about £52,000 and change.

Not a bad salary for ten minutes' work.

Rough Quest was first past the post three years running in the Grand National - the third time, he even had his jockey on board. :hihi:

Of the major high street chains, I think only Totesport. Skybet were paying 5 places online, which didn't help me any.
