Yeah yeah I know this'll probably go down like a lead baloon like the Cliff thread did but meh, it increases my post count so what the hell?

What's the best Elvis song then?

From the songs mentioned, has to be 'You were always on my mind.'

However, I have a great liking for 'American trilogy'.

Im not a fan of his music. But after being brainwashed by my mother all these years with his music, i can just bear to listen to three of the songs on the poll list.

I would have voted for Are You Lonesome Tonight, but it's not there.

At least three of the song titles in the poll are incorrect, by the way. It wouldn't have been that hard to do a little research before starting the poll, I would have thought ;)

My Way live version on his last concert. Amazing voice, amazing performance and a fitting end to the show and (not that they knew then) his life.

if i had to pick from list....always on my mind...another classic

There's no such thing as a good Elvis song, he couldn't sing worth a damn, his acting was worse still.

Please don't take offence, but I can't see the point of simply throwing together a poll on every pop star under the sun if you don't really know their songs very well (as you obviously don't) or have a feel for their music.

Five minutes research on Google would have given you not only the most popular Elvis songs (by sales and as voted for in countless other polls), but also their correct titles. This would have been a good place to start for your poll. Things like that are important to people who care about music.

As for me doing the poll next time. No thanks. Although I do care passionately about music, I don't really care enough what people on this forum think about Elvis (or anyone else) to go to those lengths ;)
