when i watch videos on the net the page loads up and the video plays but the keep freezing the play about 5 sec of fotage the freeze. what can i do

This is just the speed you are streaming at J_Smith. I don't think there is anything you can do about it apart from get a faster Broadband connection.
I have a 1MB connection and still can't stream video very well :?

Same here, I'm on a 1meg connection and can only get one site to stream video properly. I think it's got something to do with the site coding as well as the connection speed.

If you're going to watch videos from the Interweb, download them entirely before you watch them rather than streaming ;) Sure you'll delete the file afterwards, but at least you cna view it in peace

Yup, that's what I've started doing, although I select the 'open with' option and Firefox saves them to the temp folder first, which gets emptied every now and again so saves me downloading loads of stuff, naming it etc... then going around deleting it all.

Some sites make it hard to find what the actual link is to the stream though so you've got to go a bit Sherlock Holmes on the case. :wink:

That, and the 'Quirks Mode' button in Firefox. Go to the media tab and look for something with a type of 'embed'. :wink:
