Just checking out this forum to see if there are any soul singers with eclectic music tastes and hiphop emcees who spit stories as opposed to self righteous bars.

We are a band currently of 6 members who have been writing over the past 6ish months some songs, initially jams but now we want to make a bit of progress and to make the songs complete we need lyricists as we play instruments and are a bit inept of singing and playing at the same time due to the style we are looking for.

The band is made up of a drummer, bassist, guitarist, sax player, trumpet player and one emcee/beatboxer to be joined by a soprano saxophonist at some point. We play a mash up of reggae, hiphop, funk and maybe some dnb. Our practice room is located in the centre of town and we have all the PA we need for practices.

Basically, the bottom line is if we like your flow/style you will have a band (sounds like I am pimping us out). If you would like to hear some rough recordings of just a few of the members I can send you links...
