Some years ago, and in desparation to ease a 'whiplash" injury to my neck I was advised to "go to the Hallamshire" and see Trevor.
Enquiries at the hospital of that name drew a blank and I was eventually redirected to the Hallamshire pub on West Street. I there spoke to a barman who was the Trevor in question. To cut a long story short he rubbed his hands together and placed them on my neck. They were as cold as ice. He removed his hands, rubbed them together again and applied slight pressure once more to my neck. This time there was a feeling of intense heat and I felt immediate relief from the chronic pain I had suffered for some months.
I remained pain free for a long time after that but I have never been able to rationalise how Trevor was able to generate cold and then heat merely by rubbing his hands together. Can anyone come up with an answer? Thanks anyway Trevor for the cure O.P.
