View Full Version : FOUND DOG: Staffy cross terrier(?) at Heeley Farm *gone home*
bogwoppit 05-04-2010, 19:37 Just had this dog brought to my house. She's brindle with white paws. She's got a leather harness on, looks well looked after and fed. Friendly lovely dog, someone must be missing her.
She was found by workers at Heeley City Farm at the bottom of the farm.
Also does anyone have a microchipper in the vein hope this girl may have a chip?

Oh dear the poor thing! She really does not suit pink!
She looks well looked after so someone is going to be very worried :(
:hihi: Glad you said it and not me :hihi:
Bless her, she's a cutie. Def call the dog pound to at least notify them, if you haven't done so already. Looks a fairly well cared for oldie so I imagine someone's out there looking for her.
goldenbabe1966 05-04-2010, 21:11 She looks really like a customers dog who comes in the coop where i work,on gleadless road , she uses a wheelchair and brings her in sat on her knee , and i know her staffy wears a pink leather harness too . If the little girlie is her's i hope they are reunited soon :(
bogwoppit 05-04-2010, 21:57 Thanks everyone.
Have reported her with the 101 number council policey thing. Have PMd Seadog and also been to see some neighbours with dogs to see if they recognise her but no luck yet.
She's a gorgeous girl, really calm and friendly. She's curled up on the chair in the other room, think she's enjoying some space from our two dogs as it was all obviously a bit overwhelming for her.
Really hope she is reunited with owners soon, even if I also too question their choice in doggie fashion ;)
Goldenbabe, keep us posted if you see or hear anything about the woman - we were hoping the harness might be easily recognised.
bogwoppit 05-04-2010, 22:00 P.S. although she looks like an oldie, I think that might a bit of terrier in her.
Looking at her teeth and how she acts I'd put her more between 2 and 4.
bogwoppit 06-04-2010, 06:52 Just a morning bump for this sweet girl. I would love to find her home before the dog warden calls to collect her. After getting a little freaked out by our two dogs yesterday we let her sleep upstairs with us, which meant very little sleep for me as she just wanted to cuddle all night. Poor little thing. Just want to see her home, she's definitely missing someone and I guess someone will be missing her too.
bogwoppit 06-04-2010, 06:53 Another P.S. I'm ageing her even younger, I reckon one or under, she's definitely got a bit of puppy left in her.
bogwoppit 06-04-2010, 07:59 Just taken her down to Highfields for a scan and unfortunately no microchip :(
Goldenbabe, any chance of you postering the area near your Co-op if you think the little mite may belong to one of your customers? x

bogwoppit 06-04-2010, 10:17 Reunited!
I think it was the owner that Goldenbabe was talking about.
Thanks Seadog and everyone else for their help.
A lovely dog, so glad she's back home.
JarvisCocker 06-04-2010, 11:47 Awww thats good news. Glad she is home, her owner must have been frantic with worry.
Whoohooo!
Another happy ending - we are doing well at the moment!
Glad she has found her owner :) I think I have seen her out with the lady (she has an electric scooter?) The dog 'hides' in the basket or on her knee when she goes in the coop but I thought it was much smaller that it looked in the picture, unless it was still a puppy when I've seen them as I've not seen them recently. Then again it could be a completely different dog and owner knowing my observational skills
I love happy endings
Snagglepuss 06-04-2010, 11:55 Good news on this happy ending

There's a few ladies that bring their doggies in the co op on Heeley think the one you are thinking of Evei has 2 dogs in the basket between her legs :hihi:, she as a electric scooter. The lady i am thinking of as a eletric wheelchair :) Glad she's got her back.
