What a shame that you've obviously come across so many pillocks who stare! Some people are just damned rude, and can't seem to cope with the idea that somebody else might not be like them - whether it's because of a disability, colour, style of clothing, or whatever.
I've had a look through the Sheffield Help Yourself Database and you could try Community Support Services (http://www.sheffieldhelpyourself.org.uk/full_search_new.asp?group=21792), I must say I don't totally understand what they're there to do, but they might be able to point you in the right direction if they can't help you themselves.
There's also Inclusive Living Sheffield (http://www.inclusivesheffield.org.uk/defaultnew.htm), Leonard Cheshire (http://www.sheffieldhelpyourself.org.uk/full_search_new.asp?group=18812), if you're into sports, Sheffield Wheelchair Sports Club (http://www.sheffieldhelpyourself.org.uk/full_search_new.asp?group=20542) seems to offer a wide range of activities.
There might also be a local group that supports people with your disability, you can search the Help Yourself Database (http://www.sheffieldhelpyourself.org.uk/) to find one.
Good luck - I hope you find something/somewhere where you'll feel comfortable socialising.

I have similar problems to you physically and am guessing sport clubs are not an option either if all your limbs tire easily. I don't know anywhere to go either. I know it can be lonely when you don't have the energy.

Are there any PHAB clubs in Sheffield? I'm not sure what age group you're in, but they're social and activity clubs to bring physically handicapped and able bodied young people together, hence the name. :)
There's people with physical probs of all sorts on SF, perhaps a PHAB social group could start on here?
