Yesterday's match. Blades Vs Barnsley. We couldnt finish, not impressed.

On the Kop, there was a brawl going off, I missed about 15min - 20min of the 2nd half of match because of it. anyone know what was happening?

I couldnt make out if it was Barnsley Fans in the crowd on kop, or just blades fans fighting among thereselves. When stewards were kicking the lads out, walking down the kop all fans were digging at em as in throwing punches. but then again the lads were lashing out at anyone.

There has been trouble brewing for a few weeks, with the "Blackwell OUT" and the "Blackwell supporters on the kop".
Not sure what this one was about.

I saw the police/stewards when they were wading in and carrying some folks out of the cherry-street side of the Kop, but I am on the away end of John Street, so I wasn't able to see precisely what was happening.

Why on earth can't folk just go for the game, and support their team, whatever the issues with the manager/ management?

I saw it aswell was probably most exciting bit of the match in truth

My pal that went says 2 young lads (17/18yrs old) were being mouthy having a go at the team etc then a middle aged bloke started tellin them to shut up (probably not by just saying "please be quiet sir" and to "get behind the lads" and it esculated from there and 30/40 lads started chanting at them "get the ****** off the kop"

They got annoyed and more mouthy then somene threw a plastic bottle or sommat at them then a brawl started

Me pal also said it was the most entertaining part of the game!!!

Don't be daft PT, 6 pints before the match, a couple more at half time, and a good scrap is what football is all about. The likes of you and me are dinosaurs lass, don't even think about figuring it out. :loopy:

Yep, I know someone who was sat behind them, it was three lads I heard, all about 18/19 and had brough cans of lager into the ground somehow, sat drinking , getting drunk, and kept standing up and shouting and stuff, bloke nearby keeps saying "come on lads, sit down", they start mouthing off at him and eventually he says "lads, if you don't sit down and shut up, I am going to deck you", to which, one said something like "come on then if you think you can......"

Was sat couple of rows infront of it, a few chavs singing Blackwell sort it out, a few verbals exchanged with some chavs at the back, someones bird was insulted, one of the birds kicked off, got pushed, a few more joined in.

Kids on the beers and no more than that really.
