I wondered if any of you remembered that a rotti girl was seen wandering on stocksbridge by pass - just around Christmas time?
Well she was taken into Sheffield council kennels, and nobody claimed her.

She had a really bad eye - it looked like it had been badly damaged - but she wasn't neglected - in fact she looked like she could do with a bit more exercise than she had been having previously.

Nobody wanted her- and sadly - her time was up. Thankfully we had a kennel going spare - the staff said that she was lovely and Scarlet from SF went over and took her out to our kennels.

There this happy girl waited, and waited, and waited - and nobody came to collect her. she was such a happy lady - and loved every one and everything she met.

I took a video of her when I went out there one day - whilst she was playing with a couple of the other dogs in the care of Rain Rescue. The video showed what a great temprament that she had.

I contacted my friend who runs Blue Cross Bromsgrove centre, and asked if they could help with any of our dogs. They saw Nancy's video and thought they may have a chance of rehoming her - just cos she was so nice.

Another SF volunteer - Nicholls5 transported her down to Birmingham in the Rain Rescue van the other weekend. Its a fantastic place (I Nicholls wanted to move in really if she could) and they took her and showed her round the centre.

Now Nancy has had her full assessment and health check - she's up for rehoming down there - hopefully she won't be too much longer waiting now.
Fingers crossed for her

(PS - this is also a big thank you to everyone on SF who also sends us donations - however large, however small, however regular or one-off). They all add up and pay for our kenelling, our vet bills and our fuel - to make a difference to at least a few of the dogs from Sheffield that have been abandoned.
