I got up this morning and ate cake for breakfast, not very healthy I know but I just couldnt resist. As I was sat munching my unhealthy breakky it lead me to ponder if Its A family thing as my stepmother often tells off my dad for eating trifle for his breakfast :hihi:
How many of you had a healthy breakfast this morning? just to spurr me on to be good tomorrow morning and crack open the bran flakes :)

i depends where i am. If i am working I usually get the Office Juniors to get me some toast and tomato dip- which is erm.. healthy i think... If im at home I have a choice- Bacon Sandwich, Toast, Branflakes or Banana on Toast.... So i suppose I do have healthy breakfasts.

depends.
If i'm at home I either have toast or cereal.
If i'm driving I have fruit + cereal bar and a sandwich.

If i'm in a hotel I alternate between toast + cereal and cooked breakfast. Had the cooked one this morning.

I had 2 weetabix with a banana & a nectarine. I like to start the day well - but cant promise I stay as healthy as that all day!

1/2 a grapefruit and a bowl of porridge with some sultanas on. Golden syrup if feeling devilish.

carrot juice or leftover veg or fruit depending on mood and what's available

Usually bacon sarnie at about 5am, or pizza from the night before, else (and sugar will shoot me here) I dont bother, and then usually forget to eat during the day...

The weirdest thing I've ever had for breakfast was trifle... :s

Oh no... looks like I will be dusting off the branflakes tomorrow... I feel shamed by all your healthy breakfasts this morning :)

I have to have my four Weetabix every morning or I just don't feel right. Follow them with a glass of Florida Orange juice [w/ juicy bits] and a double espresso. That's my weekday brekkie routine.

At weekends I might have pain au chocolat, pain au raisin, brioche or pannettoni.

I usually have cereal. Gave up with "Healthy Cereal" as it tastes rubbish, costs more and has the same or more calories, fat, sugar etc in it. Give me Rice Crispies over Special K anyday!! :D

They're equally unhealthy

Did I say they weren't? Just saying that the healthy ones are no better. If you check on cereal packets nearly every variety has pretty much the same values. So if you want to eat cereal, you may as well have something that tastes nice.

Why are Rice Crispies that bad anyway, the ones I've got aren't covered with sugar or anything?

Tea and biscuits.. As always :|

I eat sugar free morrisons muesli and toast (home made bread!) and tea. I eat healthily in general, dunno why, just don't like high sugar/salt foods or processed food in general. eg I eat butter rather than margerine - margerine has nasty stuff in it.

I recon I have a healthy brekkie:

Porridge made in the microwave: With some frozen summer fruits added halfway through (blueberrys, redcurrants, strawberrys). Topped with live soya yoghurt & maple syrup.

And a mug of tea & Everybody Loves Raymond.

At the weekend we often have scrambled tofu on toast:

Fry half onion, add pack of fresh tofu (from chinese supermarket), add 2 tsp light stock powder, mash with potato masher and cook for 5-7 mins adding a little soya milk if it dries out too much. Eat on toast.

And a mug of tea & the papers.

It depends what you are comparing it to. Most of the cereals without loads of sugar on are about the same. Don't know whether they are particularly healthy or unhealthy though.

Breakfast!?

I'm hardly awake at that time and you want me to eat something to make me feel even more queasy? Some people... ;) I guess if i am awake, I do like a full grapefruit to eat and if it isn't available I might have a slice of toast on the rare occasion I am awake at a normal breakfast time. I mostly just wait until lunch since it is only a couple of hours after I wake up.

Generally reasonably healthy; porridge or muesli. Quite often have toast with Jam or peanut butter though (not together) but I have been known to have trifle, cake and apple crumble.

The other day we had a cream tea for breakfast, yum.

I definitely have a healthy breakfast but only when there is chocolate in the house. Otherwise I do not have breakfast.

Toblerone - chocolate, milk, honey, nougat hmmmmmmmm

What healthier way to live is there?

Isn't breakfast supposed to be the most important meal of the day?

The time when you replenish yourself with complex carbs etc to feed the brain and the inner person until lunch?

I had (as I have most mornings) two Shredded Wheat, with a banana chopped up in the bowl, and a mug of tea.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't leave home without something nourishing to eat.

Branflakes (sometimes with raisins if I'm feeling daring :D ) and a smoothie, which i make from a banana and either strawberries, cherries, pineapple or mango, lovingly blended with pineapple juice mmmm

Mines either 4 weetabix & toast, or crumpets. Occasionally a fry up! Yum

My breakfast usually consists of a cup of tea with lots of sugar and a rollup. If i actually bother eating its something greasy like eggy bread or cheese on toast with mroe cheese than toast on it ..... would love to eat a healthy breakfast but i find it hard eating in the morning anyway nevermind eating some cardboard-esque cereal thats supposed to be good for me :suspect:

ISTR Henry Cooper only had two in the TV advert, - you some kind of tough guy ? ;) ...and Johnny Parr was a boxer too.

I have uncooked porridge, a kind of home-mixed muesli made up of rolled oats, oatmeal, raisins, ground almonds, wheatbran and a bare teaspoon of sugar with full fat milk.

On my birthday, Boxing Day and Easter Sunday I get a full English breakfast...sausage, bacon, two eggs, tomato and mushrooms but this usually knocks me out until the late afternoon :)

I'm not a Breakfast person... I peck at food... Sometimes I could eat a horse, other times I hardly eat at all.. Odd really. :)

This morning, I had a fruit ice lolly... lol, prolly not the best breakfast choice, but nevermind! lol

When I start work at 5.30am, I usually grab one of them "froobs" which are yoghurt in tubes... I can usually eat it as I'm in the lift on the way to the car lol

When I'm at my Mums, I spin her a yarn about never having time for a proper brekky and she makes me something special hehe

Bowl of cornflakes (no sugar!) with skimmed milk and a chopped apple.

I'm about to try cutting out the cereal and milk and just have the apple. But as I don't like tea or coffee, I may have a fruit juice or just water to drink.

If I don't eat something before leaving the house I'll more often than not pop in to Couplands for a pasty of some sort.

This, of course, explains part of the reason why I carry a Homer Simpsonesque tummy. :)

Nowadays, however, I have some fruit tea / water, muesli with honey and yoghurt or muesli and milk or porridge or fruit or toast.

That sounds lovely....with a pasty-chaser  :hihi:

I never eat breakfast during the week. Cant stomach food until ive been moving about for a couple of hours :gag:

At the weekend, i can mooch about a bit before grabbing some breakfast - tea and toast is favourite, maybe some scrambled eggs. If im hungover, a pasty normally does the trick ;) :D (the healing power of pastry)

You could cut out all that decision making stress by just having apple juice :D
