i'm gonna be 18 soon and i want a party, but i don't know anywhere i could have it!

anyone know of anywhere i could have my 18th party?

i'm thinking of chapeltown area, or nearby.

Not in Chap, but had my 18th at Pitz on Woodburn Road.

Banquet Hall at whitley hall, grenoside... bit posh but aaaah well...

Agree that Whitley Hall is nice especially if it's a warm day.

If it's Chapeltown you need and you want a party rather than a room in a pub then Staindrop then there is really only Staindrop Lodge. They have a nice room, parking and it's only a minute in the car or 5 minutes walk from the centre of Chap.

Just thought - if you want a maaaasive party then there is the Newton Hall. I think that it's licenced but you might have to sort out all the food, music and bar yourself. It might be a bit run down these days too.

You're more than welcome to hold it in the Blake in Walkley, it won't cost you a penny to hire. But its a bit far from chapletown.

hey babe i think a good place to have your birthday bash is the consort suite hotel in thurcroft (sheffield) they offer a range of facilitys the bar is open all day and nite so u can get very drunk they put on a range of delicious food so u and your mates wont get hungry, the good thing is you can smoke in this place instead of gettin kikked out to smoke like in most places, you can also stay over nite if u are too drunk to drive or walk home so its a gud idea 2 av ur 18th birthday bash by da way if u want any more information about this place call me sammy on 0.7.7.0.8.9.5.6.9.6.8. xxxxxxxxxxx

Don't be so daft - Thurcroft isn't even in Sheffield, it's the other side of Rotherham!!! There are plenty of places in and around Chap. Stop trying to plug your dodgy disco 14 miles from where they want to be. Hey... why not try Leeds! :loopy: :loopy: :loopy:

gazB thats a cool idea, but how much wud it cost?

I think it's around £200, but you get a buffet I think and your own bar is in there with a view over both sides of Kingdom.. we gatecrashed it one night (as we went out with one of the bouncers) and it was pretty cool. It also has your own toilet and settee's etc, lively yet set away from everyone else (up the stairs of the cheesy pop side. You get to choose what music goes on, and even get your own bouncer on the door stopping everyone going in without a wristband which only you can issue..

Come to think of it, why didn't I have mine there? :-S

How about Dancing Dollar after/before Kingdom ?? Its v relaxed and costs nothing to hire, can get you on gueslist to gain entry for free if your man enough !!

I go there every monday night and its always a good laugh! Loadsa young gals and guys up for a laugh and everyone gets hammered. Grest mix of music etc. But i seriously doubt you being able to rent out the VIP then as its always packed. You could get on the VIP list but it wouldn't be the same as having an area to yourself.

If you went on a saturday u could get VIP but the atmosphere is never as good. You always get the absolute slappers mutton dressed as lamb, and the "i'm well hard" blokes there. It really can have quite a few prats in there on the w/end.

What I would do if I were you is something similar to what I did...(tho I had mine in london!!)

Rent out a room in a pub near kingdom. Get all your mates there around 7pm. and get hammered!! I had a table labled the "Ross Drinks table" it was packed with pints and shots mates had bought me.

You'll have an absolute laugh there with people u wanna spend time with on ur 18th.

Then get VIP sorted at a club (kingdom maybe). So you can end the night dancing!!

Thats my plan for you mate!

God help you if you spend your 18th in Kingdom that's all I can say...
