Hey there!

We went to the preview screening of Green Street tonight and the bloke announcing the screening told us that they are starting to show Tartan Asia films in the UGC again from next week.

I've got 2 pairs of free tickets (allowing 4 people to go free) to the showing of R-Point cert 15 if anyone wants them?

If you are into Jap/Asia films - this might be up your alley..

For more info on the film - here you go: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417072/

I'll be there but don't need tickets. Did anyone see any of the last Asia films? I bought 'The Eye' and 'The Phone' and really want 'Tale of Two Sisters'. There's some ace films coming.

Tartan Video distribute many Asian films in the UK. Can't find any further information on the films that are set to be shown at UGC Sheffield, but I'm crossing my fingers that Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is released over here soon. Can't wait for that one.

Went to see Unleashed last night (worth seeing BTW), and saw the trailers for these.

Have they got what is showing when on website?

Its a good sign that a cinema as mainstream as UGC is starting to show these kind of movies.

Saw a trailer for Born to Fight as well. That looks fantastic.

And while Im here - anyone else seen Ong-Bak yet? Reight movie. If you have even a smidgen of interest in MA films, go see it!!!

There's going to be 6 films on starting 16th September. They all look good and I'll be watching them. I'll note down what they are when I go to work tonight and let you know when I get back.

R-Point is meant to be good (think Deathwatch/the Bunker)

One Night in MongKok is worth a watch too...

Born to Fight is out this in Sept as well which is a kind of similar film but not as good.
